Special Education Presentation by Attorney Jacobs and Attorney Bryan at HARC

On August 31, Attorneys Ira Jacobs and Edward Bryan spoke about special education law and parent advocacy at Planning and Placement Team Meetings at HARC, an organization which helps people with intellectual disability and their families enjoy lives of quality, inclusion and dignity by providing support, education and advocacy. The presentation focused on what parents should expect at Planning and Placement Team Meetings, especially when children are transitioning out of the Birth-to-Three program. Ira and Ed also offered advice as to how to effectively advocate on behalf of children during PPTs.
